is Weathered Stone™? |
- Weathered
Stone™ is a patent pending stone and
leather replica covering that was invented
in 1997.
- It
is manufactured on a canvas backing; the texture
is primarily plaster, and has %15 additives
for additional strength and durability.

It is then cut, cracked, and colored by hand.
- There
are 22 standard Weathered Stone™ colors,
and 11 standard grout colors.
- Approximately
1/32nd of an inch thick.

Repair |
- The
product can be repaired with relative ease.
- Weathered
Stone™ grout is a colorant.

require replacing the damaged piece and re-grouting.

Cleaning

- Use
a non abrasive, mild detergent to clean the
product.

- Weathered
Stone™ has a large network of certified
installers around the country.
- Installers
complete an eight hour hands on or online
course and that is separated into the following
three sections: Theory of layout and design,
Hands on techniques, and estimating and pricing
installations.

Installation
|
- A
heavy duty clear strippable wall covering
adhesive will be used for most applications.
- While
the product is wet with adhesive, the product
becomes pliable.
- The
result is a sheet of stone that can be molded,
bent, and shaped around any surface.

Water
Resistant Installations |
- Water
resistant applications require Weathered Stone™
Durra-Core adhesive.
- The
adhesive is specifically designed to harden
the product from the inside out.
- The
adhesive can be purchased from the manufacturer.

Recommended
Adhesives |
- Wall
applications: Romans Brand Pro-880, Pro-888,
or Pro 838.
- Crown
moldings: Romans Brand VOV Pro-555 or Pro-880

Recommended
Top Coats |
- The
recommended top coat for counter tops and
floors is Weathered Stone Super sealer. Three
coats are recommended.
